The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Diploma Program provides in-depth training in HVAC systems and demonstrates the hands-on skills needed to successfully maintain and troubleshoot today’s complex heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, up to and including commercial and industrial systems. It establishes a framework of understanding of environmental issues associated within the HVAC industry and presents theory, diagnostics, and repair procedures. Typical operating conditions, and systematic troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation techniques are also presented. The program includes exposure to indoor air quality standards and discusses various sources of indoor pollution with an emphasis on molds and how to improve indoor air quality.

This program is offered in a hybrid format. Hybrid learning is a combination of online lecture and campus-based instructor led labs at our Knoxville location. This approach reduces the amount of time spent in a seat in a traditional course and provides greater flexibility on when assignments are completed while still providing students with valuable hands-on labs and face-to-face time with instructors each week.

Remington College’s Facility Maintenance and Technology degree blends classroom instruction with hands-on training to provide our students the opportunity to develop many of the skills that Facility Maintenance Technicians need.

Our Associate Degree program combines practical hands-on building maintenance training with coursework in small business principles to help prepare students who seek advancement opportunities or independent employment within this growing field.
