Pathway Career Institute is an online trade school based in Somerset, New Jersey, built for working adults and career changers who need flexibility. Rather than requiring students to quit their job or sit in a classroom, Pathway delivers self-paced coursework supported by weekly live sessions - so training fits around real life, not the other way around. Every enrolled student receives either a VR headset or a Tool Bag to support their training.
The school pairs technical training with personalized career support, including resume prep, interview coaching, and job placement guidance, helping graduates move confidently into their new career. Most programs can be completed in four to six months.

Online Program
Pathway Career Institute's online HVAC Technician program covers the core knowledge and hands-on skills needed to pursue entry-level roles installing, maintaining, and servicing heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
Training is delivered through self-paced online coursework and VR-based simulation, supported by weekly live sessions throughout. The curriculum covers refrigeration cycles, airflow, heat transfer, electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and system troubleshooting - alongside safety practices, tool use, and job readiness training.
Students can work toward three industry-recognized certifications:
- OSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification
- EPA 608 Certification
- NATE Certification
New classes begin several times a year, and graduates receive one-on-one career coaching and job placement support as they enter the workforce.
